Cheap Oral-B Oralb Floss(55yd)waxed #82576 Review
We Sell Regular Floss & dental floss.
I purchased this oral irrigator last month for my husband who has gone through many of the models that sit on your cabinet. When the last one broke, I began to look for a replacement. After searching many sites I found this one. The reviews were very positive and I prefer to buy from Amazon (don't believe they have ever disappointed me). My husband loves this irrigator and I like (love) the fact that it doesn't sit on my cabinet all the time. The white attachment is always there but really not a distraction. Highly recommend this product.
This product is great and does a good job between dental cleanings. I will stress professional dental cleanings are something you cannot achieve at home but this tool does a good job to reducing and cleaning your teeth. I particularly love the dental scaler because it does a great job at cleaning tartar build up. Follow the directions and you'll be happy with your clean teeth.
Because I have gum problems, I'm paying for four dental cleanings a year, so this is prudent. I'm used to sonic cleaning at the dentist's office, so it feels fine to me. I do it blind so the light superfluous for me, theoretically I could turn it sideways and do scaling, but I don't worry about that either. I just run it along the gum line, between my teeth and into the pockets in my gums. It's a good size and shape to get into the back my mouth. My dental hygenist says it's making a considerable difference, and I don't mind using it as much as I dislike flossing or using other types of toothpicks.
I'm always leaving it around the house, so I'm getting another. My son tried it and liked it, so I'm getting him one. You can clean it well enough to let someone else try it, but since gum germs are pretty fierce, we're not going to share it regularly. The dentist's office cleans theirs and uses it on the next patient, of course.
I have difficulty controlling regular floss, so picks help me keep up a daily flossing regimen. Unfortunately, I was never comfortable with the amount of plastic waste produced by throwing out picks every day. As such, I was delighted to find this earth-friendly product available in stores. You get to floss as much as you want with minimal impact on the environment, and the price is even very comparable to other picks.
The downside, as other reviewers mentioned, is the strength of the picks and smoothness of the floss. They are definitely not as smooth and sturdy as what you would get from plastics and polymers. You will almost inevitably have a few of them break on you, usually with the floss coming loose from the pick. Fortunately for me, I don't have this problem as often as some others claim. I'm sure each unique mouth has different needs, with some teeth being tighter together than others. I probably break one pick every 10 flossings or so. The quality also seems to vary a bit between packages. The overall failure rate seems low enough that I can deal with it as a trade off for an environmentally friendly product.
I would recommend anyone give these a try. It's only a couple dollars for 50, and if they don't work well enough with your teeth, just move on to something else.
This package seems small but it works really well. It was easy to install. I got this item on the recommendation of my doctor to clean my ears due to excessive ear wax accumulated by wearing hearing aids. Soften the wax and use the irrigator to squirt warm water into the ear canal. If this is done monthly, the ears stay clean. No more buildup. She cautioned me to be careful of the power of the spray. It's amazing how strong the spray is. I use it strong for flossing but not as strong for my ears. Works great and lots cheaper than other items of this type.
Sometimes it's the little decisions we make that prolong our healthy years.
DFT are essential items for some of us. Very useful tools they are. Some of us get food stuck in places where we cannot thread our floss. I'm one of them. I depend on my Dentek Floss Threaders. I thread my floss through this great big floppy plastic device that works like a needle and go to work on my teeth every day. Using the DFT enables a through gum massage.
Don't we know how important flossing is? If we take care of our gums and teeth, we are also helping to maintain our heart health. Social health can be improved by flossing too. It is embarrassing to go out into the world with meat, lettuce, or collards stuck between our teeth. Brown or green between the teeth could destroy a sale or a job interview. Food trapped inside bridges and braces can contribute to halitosis. Also it's not nice to try to fool our dental hygienists. They will know if we have not been using our floss threaders. Furthermore, bridges and braces cost! Anxiety can result from the loss of teeth and from gum disease. We must take care of our teeth to avoid having to make a second mortgage to pay the dental bills. We must use our floss threaders. These little gadgets are worth their weight in gold!
Some other brands I've tried pulled apart at the critical moment. This brand has never disappointed me.
It's unbelievable that Amazon is stocking so many products such as these now. What a help!
I hope this review helped you.
A friend of mine gave me one. I was puzzled at first, but it is intuitive...I had some trouble finding it in my area so I bought it here. I have to say I love it! It really is easy and convenient, I keep it in my wallet and use it after I eat. It beats carrying around a box of floss, and I don't like the waste stream involved with those throw away flossers.
Like the previous review, it is very flexible, once you get a hang of sliding it you can do so without it bending so much.
I don't leave home without it! It is addictive!
I used to use Reach, Oral-B, Colgate, or store/generic brands of dental floss. However, one visit to the dentist for a cleaning appointment changed that.
While seated at the dentists chair on a dental cleaning appointment, I noted that the dental assistant was using a kind of floss that was quite a bit thicker than what I was used to seeing. Despite its thickness, it easily passed through the tight spaces between my teeth (I had an impacted tooth condition then). The floss was tough, and unlike a lot of the floss I had tried, it resisted shredding. Intriqued, I asked her what kind of floss it was. "It's Crest," she said. After I got home, I immediately bought a pack of Crest Glide and tried it on myself - I was hooked.
The Crest Glide is unlike any kind of floss you'll find out there. The floss is not thread-like at all; it is flat and broad - like tape. I find that the larger surface area helps to remove more plague and debris between teeth. The floss is tough and very resistant to shredding. It is amply waxed, so it has no problem gliding between teeth. (The Crest brand of floss is thus very aptly named "Glide!") Crest Glide is also soft and gentle on your gums.

Ever since discovering Crest Glide, I refuse to use any other kind of dental floss. Give it a whirl - you might just find yourself hooked on it like I am!
I bought this a year ago and I haven't had a cold or any kind of sickness since. I don't know if its just a placebo effect, but whatever the reason, I'm very happy with it!
